Citrus fruits like lemons, limes, and oranges contain a substance called “limonene” which is a natural snake repellent. Snakes hate the strong smell of citrus.

**How to use it:**
– Place lemon or orange slices in areas where you’re afraid snakes might enter
– Rub citrus peels on doors and window frames from the outside
– You can also use citrus essential oils mixed with water
– Boil citrus peels in water and let the scent spread in the air

3. Cinnamon and Clove

Cinnamon and clove oils are actually the only natural repellents recommended by the US Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) for repelling snakes. Studies on the “brown tree snake” have shown the effectiveness of these oils.
